photography in Toronto – 5 Questions You Must Ask Before Choosing

A wedding is one of the most special days in a young couple's lives. The bride has probably dreamed of this moment her entire life, and has probably started planning and preparing for this wedding as soon as the relationship became serious. With long hours of preparation, stress, and running around, the expected outcome of the wedding is grand. It's the day she will remember forever. This is why it's so important to record it and find the best wedding photography in Toronto to help her capture the memories and show off this beautiful day.

There are several things you need to consider when choosing a wedding photographer in Toronto. There are many Toronto wedding photographers, and knowing the right questions to ask is important in choosing the right one. Below are 5 questions you shouldn't skip out on:

  • How many years experience? This is a very important question because the 's experience will reflect in the final pictures. You want a with plenty of experience. This means actual experience as a wedding , and the size of the weddings they have shot for. Though you can never be sure they are telling the whole truth, the rest of the questions may help to clarify.
  • What is the style of the photographer's technique? This is very important because you want someone to match the style that you want out of your wedding pictures. There are many different styles, such as classic style, modern, relaxed, creative, artistic and so much more. Ask the photographer to explain and describe their style to you.
  • Will they be the person taking all the pictures? It's important that you meet the actual photographer, not their secretary. You want to make sure that you get a good feeling from them, and that you enjoy their presence, as they will be around you your entire wedding. Also, ask to meet their assistants as well, as they will be right there with the photographer as well.
  • What kind of equipment will the photographer be using and bringing with him? This is very important, you want a professionally equipped photographer. Ask what kind of extra equipment he will be bringing aside from their camera, such as tripod, lighting, and other necessities. It's good to have the extra equipment as they will help make your pictures better, but also, how will they affect your wedding and will they be in the way.
  • Can you see examples of their work and reviews or references? You want to look through other wedding albums that they have done in the past. This way you will get a better idea of the photographer's shooting style and the way he works.

Your wedding is a very special day, and you should have the best wedding photography in Toronto to help you document and record it. There are many Toronto wedding photographers that offer various packages so you want to carefully review each one to make sure that you are getting not only the best deal but the best in Toronto. Another important thing to consider is if they also have a wedding videographer in Toronto as well, so you don't have to work with different studios. Choose your wedding photographer well and you will have a wonderful time at your wedding and enjoy the pictures which you will proudly show off for years to come.

The Internet Sensation- Bringing Down wedding photography prices

What's the worst thing about ? prices. It seems any novice with a camera and a bow tie can charge the earth for a set of pictures that are going to end up looking like everyone else's wedding snaps – and then hit the happy couple with a bill for another few hundred quid for printing and mounting the darn things. Well, fortunately for the masses – if not for the shutterbugs themselves – change is coming: and it's coming through that modern vessel of all change, the Internet.

There's a new type of wedding photography in town – and a new set of wedding photography prices to go with it. The sensational thing about this new school wedding snaps initiative is the tiny hit it gives even the most pinched of wallets – a mere £109 for the full works. Compare that to the cheapest offer a person can find from a pro wedding photographer.

How it works is like this: rather than getting some dude in a bad suit to line everyone up and yell at them, a person just lets all their friends and family snap away with their digital cameras/phones or whatever else they're using these days to commit images to a memory card. Then they purchase an online "-box", into which all the are uploaded. Hence the cheap wedding photography prices – because there's no person to pay, and no expensive equipment to maintain.

Once the pictures are in their online box, the happy couple (who are granted administrator rights by the company selling the program – a rather innovative lot called Shoebox360) can pick and choose which to keep and which to discard.

The great thing about this photo box idea is that it lets everyone involved in the day become a part of its memorial. In other words – rather than paying stupid wedding photography prices for a frankly rather cold record of one's big day, the couple pays a lot less and gets everyone involved. This creates a living, breathing record of their union to be enjoyed by all.

That's right – by all. These photo boxes allow everyone who is given a password (so everyone at the wedding) to visit, post comments and so on – like the social networking sites we're all so familiar with. That means that the memorial of the big day is really a living thing: a constantly evolving document, with memories and multiple takes on the same thing forming a part of the "album". For these kinds of wedding photography prices, that's a service that really can't be beaten.

At the end of the photo box's tenure, the couple can still print their choice shots in traditional style – but they'll have had a whole year's worth of group remembering thrown into the bargain. Somehow, one suspects this is the future of all event photography: it's just taken those clever folks at Shoebox360 to see it first.

Do people prefer B&W or Color Photographs? If B&W, are thy good enough from Digital photographers?

I am doing some research about black and white photography, and thought this is a good place to start. I have been under the impression that today digital wedding photographers really do not pay as much attention to final product, and instead give their customer photographs straight from their camera, and let the customer do with the photographs whatever they choose. Do you other people think the same way?

I am doing research for a new which I will be publishing on wiki.worldonpaper.com

Thanks All.

Hi,

As a digital photographer myself, personally, the final product is everything to me. Each image is proof of what I can give to a potential client. I get work mainly from word of mouth and every photograph I take is individual and special, just like the client.

When I have shot the wedding, I sort through the images to ensure only the best ones are presented as proofs to the client. They will then look through the images to choose which ones they would like to keep. I give suggestions as to which would look better in B&W based on my experience as a .

B&W can look very 'arty' if the right images are used. Obviosly any images that have a lot of colour, ie flowers, cake etc would be better in colour and as a general rule, scenes with a lot of detail look better in B&W as colour can sometimes be distracting.

I do know of photographers than run a system where the client chooses the images and then simply prints them or worse still, just gives the images on CD/DVD and the clients has to print them themselves, but professionals will take time to retouch images so they look the best they can for years to come. After all, once the cake has been eaten, the suits returned and the honeymoon is over, the photographs will the lasting memory of the couples special day.

Hope that helps.

Best Wedding Photography

best wedding photography
what are the best/most informative digital photography .?

I am looking to get in to wedding and would like to pick up some books, what are some good ones for a beginner, I noticed a lot of them talk about transition from film which I don't need.

Are you a beginning photographer? Try some basic photography first. is not a genre for novice photographers.

I am all for learning through books, but weddings are one thing that may be best learned as an apprentice to a working . (That is assuming that you have quite a bit of knowledge af photography in general, and understand both technical and artistic basics.) That's not to say you can't get anything from a book, of course you can depending largely on your learning style and self-motivation. One book for any has to be "Understanding Exposure" by Bryan Peterson. He also has books on portraiture and composition that are well done. For weddings specifically, "Portrait Photography Handbook", Monte Zucker, "Existing Light for Wedding and Portrait Photography", Bill Hurter, and Steve Sint's "Wedding Photography: Art, Business and Style". "The Art of Wedding Photography" by Bambi Cantrell.

Again I stress weddings are not for new photographers. It is harder than it seems, and the stakes are high for the parties involved. Best wishes.
