WAYS TO START YOUR OWN DIGITALPHOTOGRAPHIC BUSINESS! (Part Eight)

Your own digital, photography based, home business could start here. . .

BOWLS.  You could stick the onto the bowl on the outside with a transfer, or you can get bowls that come apart for the insertion of a photograph. Pet accessories are a huge market along with toys ,food and training. Millions is being spent daily. You only need a very small share of that market to make a good living, or even a life changing income. Apart from personalised bowls, how about general cute photos, or promotions for individual pet shop owners, pet toy and food manufacturers. The company who make these bowls did not go into it lightly, they made sure there was a market. Use their research to grab yourself a slice. Don't go to the market with a sieve,go with a personalised pet bowl!

*  WINDOW ADVERTISING.  How many windows can you see if you, ahem, look out of your window? Quite a few I bet, not only in buildings, but vehicles too. How many are in commercial buildings or vehicles?  Still quite a few isn't it?  Well with reverse cling film you can put photographs and sales messages on these windows. Window replacement companies, estate agents, politicians (they might be reluctant in case you see through them!), Try Yellow Pages, how many companies in there would look into this kind of advertising?  Must stop here I am becoming a pane, no that was'nt me I was framed.

*  BANNERS.  Personalised banners with photographs on are much better than just the words 'happy birthday'. How about street parties. local events, tractor pulls, conker contests, garden fetes, Search out event diaries in your local press and contact them to see if they want a photographic banner with the organisers on, rather than that tired, tatty old one that can hardly be read anymore.

*  SECURITY HOLOGRAMS.  The security business is huge, holographs are easy to do now, put the two together and you are an innovative 21st century security company. Search security holograms on the internet and let that show you what others are doing and what they are charging. Then go to my and see companies that can help you.

*  CERTIFICATES.  Sports, academic, lots of certificates being printed out in schools, organisations, pre-schools, companies, training colleges every day. Get your certificate in front of the buyer with a school photo, appropriately engineered, or samples of what you can do.

*  FUZZY PRINTS.  This is a relatively new media to print on and will go into any standard inkjet printer. Obvious markets include animals (the ones with fur), landscapes with foliage, promotional postcards for material manufacturers. Maybe even a seaside postcard, I know water is'nt furry, but it moves. As I say, this is new and I haven't tried out all the possibilities yet, but you can!

*  AUTO SHADES.  Functional auto sun shades. Advertising for car lots, holiday destinations, sun cream, sports like golf and tennis, humour, political statements 'the sun always shines with our party'. Very good advertising media,  try local tradesmen who leave their vehicle all day.

*  PLAQUES/TROPHIES.  So many organisations and businesses that present plaques and trophies to their outstanding members or people. Have a look at whats on offer, where can it be improved? Fuzzy plaque for this years top suede shoe seller!

*  BINDERS.  Lots of these being carried around by students and business people. Colleges and companies may benefit with their own binders. Personalised binders, sports or music themed, promotional items for sports or music companies.

*  MEMO BOARDS.  Go into any business presentation and you will most likely see bland memo boards. Offer something new with the company photograph and mission emblazoned on it. Don't forget memo boards for home.

This is just to get your creative juices going and your brain storming with ideas! The internet has opened up a never ending need for images, of anything and everything. Stock has changed, gone are the highly professional, large format shots of models and beaches, that had to be technically perfect, well they are not gone, but they are not the only opportunities for aspiring photographers who want to make a living with their hobby, their passion. Images that you would'nt believe started life as a photograph end up everywhere these days and the ability to transform these images is available to everyone, and in the comfort of their own home.

Don't forget a lot of well known street businesses started life on a kitchen table, why not yours?

Baby Boy Gift Baskets - Baby Shower Gifts for the Little Guy

Baby showers are always great occasions to attend, and everyone loves celebrating the birth of a new baby boy. It's also customary for every guest invited to a baby shower to bring a gift for the new baby or his parents, and it can be pretty tricky to find the best possible gift to give. There's always the nagging question whether or not your gift would be appreciated, and there's also the worry of walking into the baby shower carrying the same gift as another guest.

It's easy to come up with a totally original gift for the little guy. Instead of looking for a single gift item, look for several and prepare a nice gift basket. Gift baskets contain several closely-related gift items bundled into a nice basket, which can be decorated with ribbons, gift wrappings, banners, etc. There are countless possible designs for a gift basket - all you have to do is decide what you want yours to look like.

Of course, baby boy gift baskets should look different from baskets for baby girls. It would be downright wrong to theme a basket for a baby boy with a pink color, and it's a sure way to sour the mood at any baby shower. Here are a few helpful tips to help you prepare a suitable gift basket that the parents - and all the other guests - would love you for.

Tip #1 - Try to use a masculine or neutral color. Blue is the most popular color for baby shower gifts for baby boys, but green, brown, white, and purple are acceptable colors too. Avoid pink and yellow, since they're mostly "girl" colors. Keep colors in mind whenever you shop for items like towels, sleepwear, bibs, and bottles - in other words, items that the little guy will be using for a long time after receiving them.

Tip #2 - Try using alternative containers for the gift items. While wicker baskets are the most common and acceptable kinds of containers (owing to their usefulness after the party), you can also try hampers, baby bathtubs, and wagons. Wagons make great toys when the little guy gets bigger, and you can even design your gift basket as a welcome wagon. If you're walking into the baby shower with a very young companion, you can let him/her pull the wagon into the party - it should make an interesting entrance!

Tip #3 - Don't use too much decoration on the gift basket. Using too many ribbons, gift wrapping, and other ornamentation may make the basket look a tad bit feminine, so keep it to a minimum. Baby boy gift baskets are much better presented with banners, flags, and slogans than with ribbons and buntings. Take the opportunity to decorate the gift basket with a message for the little guy - for instance, if you're planning to prepare a basket filled with star-shaped cookies, you could include the sign: "A Star Is Born!"

Tip #4 - Stuffed toys are actually fine. Some might argue that stuffed animals are for baby girls only, but they make for good cribside company for the little guy. Certain animals, such as "jungle" animals like lions, giraffes, and hippos, are very suitable for a baby boy's crib. But it might be a good idea to fill the gift basket with stuffed sports items, such as small basketballs and footballs, instead. To make it more fun, give your gift basket a theme that matches the parents' sports preferences.

Tip #5 - When giving "baby" items like shampoos, talcum powder, and baby lotion, try to be a little extra thoughtful and fill your basket with "travel-sized" bottles. This would be a gesture to the new parents to go out and take the little guy out every now and then. Any parent would appreciate the idea that they don't have to be cooped up in the house.

Tip #6 - If you want to make things a little extra special for the new mom and dad too, don't be shy about throwing in a bottle of wine or some good apple cider (if the mother is nursing). Taking care of a new baby boy is hard work, and the new parents would appreciate a little something to enjoy at the end of the day.

Remember, though, that many baby showers take place a little before the baby boy is born. In such baby showers, it's also a good idea to include some gift items for the mother in your gift basket. Naturally the mother is going to be sitting still for most of the time, she'll appreciate a good book or two. If you can find books that will help make the waiting a little more bearable, then you'll definitely be doing her a favor.

Most baby showers have themes to them, so an invitation should clue you in on what the party's going to be like. You can make things a little more fun by preparing your gift basket in the same theme as the baby shower, too.

Preparing a gift basket for a new baby boy can be fun, and it's pretty easy to come up with a pretty one. But if you think you don't have that creative streak in you, you can go ahead and buy a baby boy gift basket off the shelf. Many gift basket shops have some pre-made baskets specifically made for a new baby boy or his expectant parents. For a little extra cash, these gift basket shops can even prepare, customize, and personalize the gift basket to make it more memorable.

It's also a shame when you realize the baby shower is scheduled on a date and time when you're unavailable. Besides missing a great party, the parents of the little guy will definitely miss you. But that's okay - you can still have a nice basket prepared by a basket shop, and then ask them to deliver it to the new parents' doorstep. It would be best if they can deliver the basket during the baby shower itself - it'll be a very welcome surprise.

The Trendiest Wholesale Optical Frames For Men And Women!

If you are like most people, you factor in a few different facets when it comes to choosing discount eyeglass frames. One of the things you may consider is the actual visual aspect of the glasses - how they look. In order for a man or a woman to choose the best pair of glasses you should only be considering color or style, but shape as well. As they say, the eyes are the window to the soul. Well, the eyeglasses you choose are ultimately the "frame" of your face. If you have a small face, don't choose an ungodly size of a frame - although BIG is IN nowadays, I simply don't like it!

If you have a large face, don't pick small glasses! The next thing you might be looking for as far as trends go is the colors or styles. When it comes to wholesale optical frames you have a whole truckload of options to choose from. Colors; camel, khaki, gold, copper, peach, orange, coral, off-white, fire-engine red, warm blue, black, rose-brown, blue-gray, plum, magenta, pink, jade, blue and demi-amber (darker) tortoise and everything else in between.

You can also choose "marbled" looks, checkers, patterns, spots, animal prints - jeez, the list is never ending! When it comes to men and women styles, you can also choose from "brands" or as we like to call them Designer Brands. These are most likely going to be from manufacturers such as Di Caprio, Flexure, Versailles, Peachtree, Capri, 4U, Simply Lite, Artistik Eyewear, Titanium and Slimfold - just to name a few!

You can also choose from various other options as well for the "types" of glasses such as; designer sunglasses, soft plastic eyeglass/frames, distance or reading glasses, transition/polarized lenses, rimless frame, chromatic, bifocal frame and anti-reflective coating frames.

I bought these Polarized ones for my glasses and I love them. They go dark as soon as I go outside in the sun, and they come back to clear as soon as I come inside. It takes literally a few seconds and it does help with the sun. This is also helpful for someone such as myself because I simply cannot see without glass or contacts.

So if I have glasses on I can't just switch to sunglasses unless they are prescription. Thus, the reason behind choosing Polarized because its SO convenient for me and, I can see! A lot of older people HAVE to choose a bi-focal frame to fit bi-focal lenses. My mom had these in the last and the SMALL spot where the magnification was so small she could barely find it. Now they have three types of area magnification - the third option is almost as big as the entire lens and it's right where your vision of contact is, so its much easier for people to see using this frame and or lens.

So as you can see, people have demands when choosing glasses, so if you are a retailer who's looking to update your merchandise and fashionable offerings, be sure to find an eyeglass frame manufacturer that is reliable and up-to-date!

A Comparison of the Leading English Cufflink Brands

There is a very large and diverse range of cufflinks, with something to suit every taste and personality. Each designer brand offers a unique look, but without knowing what sets them apart it is hard to find the right brand (and hence pair of cufflinks) for you. Some cufflink brands focus on classic sterling silver designs whilst others specialise in brightly coloured enamel cufflinks or sparkly crystal designs. There are several English designer brands that are particularly worth having a look at. In this I will look at cufflinks from Duchamp-London, Tateossian, Simon Carter, Paul Smith, Tyler and Tyler, Murray Ward and Seven London.

If you’re intention is to be bold and get noticed, take a look at Duchamp-London cufflinks. Duchamp is a premium men’s accessories brand that has developed a global reputation for their use of vivid colours and detailed abstract designs. The cufflink shapes are classic and include rectangles, circles and ovals. The standout feature though is the vivid colour and design detail they are able to achieve through the use of hand enamelling. One of their signature cufflinks is the square Harlequin which has smaller squares of colour for a stained glass effect. Whilst most cufflinks have an abstract design, some include motifs such as paisley and floral patterns. Duchamp-London cufflinks make a strong style statement, and are there to be noticed. They are ideally suited for a confident man who wants to show that he has achieved a certain level of success and maturity.

Tateossian is a London based jewellery company, and as such their cufflinks are like pieces of jewellery with many incorporating precious stones such as onyx, mother of pearl, lapis, jade and even black diamonds. Their cufflinks are very high quality, with a close attention to detail. For example their football cufflinks feature a matching football boot, whilst their solid silver king skull cufflinks are decorated with Swarovski crystals in the crown and eyes. Tateossian cufflinks are ideally suited for special occasions and present a feeling of opulence and luxury. Tateossian are also well known for their mechanical cufflinks such as working thermometers, compasses and watches which can act as a real talking point.

The title ‘King of Cufflinks’ belongs to Simon Carter, whose range has a very British flavour. His quirky sense of humour shines through with his modern take on vintage British styling, which includes his Victorian subversives and regency squares. There is a real cross section of patterns and shapes, holding it all together by Simon Carter’s love for everything British. Many cufflinks use semi precious stones such as mother of pearl and Swarovski crystals at very reasonable prices. Unusual shapes include; honeybees, aspirin tablets, petals and teapots. His cufflinks are well suited to anyone who wants to inject a light hearted feel into their plain everyday suit.

Paul Smith is perhaps one of England’s best loved fashion designers with his distinctive, slightly 1960s, British look. He has a very strong range of men’s accessories which includes some wonderful cufflinks. Similar to Duchamp-London, classic shapes are given a unique twist with coloured enamelled patterns, such as the Paul Smith thin multi-stripe synonymous to the brand. There is a definite sense of fun running throughout the range, such as the classic British mini painted with the Paul Smith stripe.

Similar to Tateossian, Seven London is a jewellery brand with a range of designer cufflinks. All their designs combine solid silver with precious stones and crystals. Their look is fashionable and refined, with clean simple lines and limited use of colour. If you are looking for sports motif cufflinks for the discerning gentleman then look no further than Murray Ward. They specialise in solid silver designs on shooting, horse riding, golf tennis, skiing and other outdoor pursuits. Finally, Tyler and Tyler offer a unique collection of hand enamelled cufflinks with two very different signature looks. The first uses black floral silhouettes set against a background of vivid and seductive colour. This look is very dramatic and works very well with a black tie/dinner suit. Their second look is the ‘Victorian tease’, which has erotic pictures of Victorian women and will show off the more naughty side of your personality.

What’s the Best Digital Camera Brand

what's the best digital camera brand
What's the best compact digital camera for someone who's into photography?

So I'm after a compact digital camera as I'll be traveling soon. I'm into and at the minute I'm self teaching myself but hoping to do some courses in the future.
I want a compact camera which will also allow me change settings etc.
Any recommendations for a camera or particular brand to go with?
I have a canon at the moment however it's a bit too bulky for my travels.
thanks!

look for a point and shoot that enables you to change things like ISO, shutter and aperture. your pictures may not be as fantabulous (pre edited) as a dSLR, but if you can control at least 2 of those 3 things you should be able to take some great shots.

i have an oldschool 4.1mp sony with various lenses that can be used with it (not a dslr - it's more or less a point and shoot), with it i was able to take great shots. if you're serious about photography though, you really should shell out a little more money for at the very least an entry level digital SLR camera. they're a little more expensive, but you can do SOOO much more with them. Nikon d40 for instance, is a great entry level camera, it's not small but it's smaller than it's more expensive counterparts. http://www.deviantart.com <-- do a search for nikon d40 and you'll see the great shots you can get with it.

if you insist on a pocket sized point and shoot, you're going to generally give up flexibility and control, but that won't necessarily stop an artistically inclined photographer.

What is your LEGO castle missing? It’s got a moat, a drawbridge, guard towers, a keep, archers to shoot at invaders. Why not bring it into the future with a security system for today’s invasions? These days you can't just shoot people willy-nilly (and yes, we agree this is pretty depressing). You need photographic proof of invasion, and do we ever have the product to help you get that proof! This totally functional 3 megapixel digital camera is built out of red, yellow, green and blue LEGO bricks and can be built in to your existing LEGO structures. Blind the invaders with the integrated flash, download the to your castle's security office via USB cable, and then print out a picture of the invaders' arrow-perforated bodies to hang up as a deterrent to future invaders. Your LEGO castle means business. What, no castle? We won’t judge. This is a great first digicam for your geekling or fun cam for the LEGO kid-at-heart and features a color 1.5” LCD screen, built-in flash and fixed focus. But really, the best part is that you can build it into things. A LEGO T-Rex with a photographic memory, perhaps? A giant, one-eyed monkey?
