Have any great ideas for unique children's portraits?

I'm starting my own photography business and will be using studio and location sites. I love the classics, but does anyone have new suggestions for poses, props or costumes. Especially for those adorable boys out there. I have girls so that comes naturally, but I really want my boy costumers to be thrilled. All ideas are welcome. Thanks!

Question for a Jewish person about photography...?

I am a photographer that is taking family and children's portraits for a Jewish family. I will be going into there home and shooting photo's of a newborn.....Is there anything I should know? Would it be OK for me to ask to take semi-naked baby photo's? I just don't want to be ignorant and offend anyone. Thanks for you help.

I'd suggest you just ask the parents what type of photographs they're envisaging, and then take your cue from them.

Unless it's a really Orthodox family, you don't have to 'do' or 'not do' anything differently to normal.

Just treat them like you would any other clients

Senior Portraits

What would you write in the card when sending out senior portraits?

I'm sending out my senior portraits to my family members and I have no clue what to write in the card!!
Can someone help with any ideas on this? It can be short and sweet or long. Thank You!

When I sent mine out we had an announcement that went with it and did not write a message only when I received a gift from someone did I send them a handwritten thank you note.

Paper or online Backstage West?

Hi!
I was wondering if its better to go online or have a newspaper subscription to backstage west? Is there even a difference? Different types of auditions? Which is better for looking for casting calls/ auditions? Thanks!

Newspaper is always the better way to go.
