History Of

When we think about photography it takes us decades and centuries behind. After a century when photography became a well known fact, the specializes and experts took care of photography in a more professional manner. Yet, in the recent trends photography is not necessarily done by professionals to click good images, thanks to the digital that has aided to click pictures by ourselves and that too with a professional effect. Primarily photography began in 1820s which was the time when the first photographs were lastingly captured which was possible due to scientific advancements. Scientist-Albertus Magnus and Georges Fabricius in the 13th and 16th century revealed silver chloride and silver nitrates respectively that were sensitive to light. In the recent times, silver chlorate is used to make photographic paper as it is sensitive to photons and shows a suppressed picture initially and after reduction the actual film is developed. In the year 1825, a French inventor, Nicephore Niepce, invented the first photograph, an image was captured in olden adaptation of camera, which was a long and a difficult procedure and took almost eight hours of exposure to direct sunlight, to develop into a true picture. Later on, the silver compounds, like those discovered by Magnus and Fabricus, were used by Niepce along with the experiment of Johann Heinrich Schultz, in 1972, which proved that a amalgamation of chalk and silver compounds become darker on exposure to sunlight which aided Niepce to succeed in his discovery of photography. This discovery has led to a successful photography which is being practiced till now. Louis Daguerre and Niepce worked together and developed the reduction process in the year 1883, after which Niepce died of a severe heart attack leaving the whole work on Daguerre's shoulders who further made two main inventions in the field of photography called Daguerreotype. Similar to daguerreotype, in 1832 a French-Brazilian painter along with the great inventor Hercules Florence came out with Photographie, now popularlwell known as Photography. This is almost like Polaroid that are used today. In the year 1840, Fox Talbot took a huge leap and advanced photography which was further developed by an astronomer, John Hershel. Then came George Eastman who refined Talbot's advancement and development, George Eastman's expansion is used in today's chemical cameras'. Hippolyte Bayard also had a chief contribution in rising photography, but because of his late announcement does not share the recognition to photography. The daguerreotype gathered a lot of recognition in the entire industrial revolution, as the people asked photographs for themselves. Photographs became highly popular and most needed, but due to the restrictions of daguerreotype like these were hard to copy and were very delicate, George Eastman helped it out, in 1884, by using dry gel on paper. This became an easy and reasonable way of photography. In the year 1888, Kodak camera came in the market which was released by Eastman with the slogan “You push the button, we do the rest. This was a major development which attracted the whole market, and with Kodak Brownie, in 1909, even a layman could click pictures for you. Recently, the recent inventions has popularized digital photography, but now what you enjoy the most of photography, which is the sincere efforts and hard work of intelligent scientists in the past.

Famous Movies Featuring Chocolate

Chocolate is an important force in the world, and in many of our lives. While we might not think about it on a day to day basis, we'd definitely miss it if there was no more chocolate to be found. In addition, chocolate has been important in several movies and books over the years.

The three most popular of these films are probably the two adaptations of Roald Dahl's 1964 book called Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and the film adaptation of Joanne Harris's 1999 book Chocolat. Here's some information about all three of these famous movies that center around chocolate.

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory

There were two adaptations of this book - one in 1971 and another in 2005. The 1971 adaptation is called Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, due to the then-association of the name Charlie with Communist Vietnamese soldiers. The movie starred Gene Wilder and was directed by Mel Stuart. It received an Academy Award nomination for the score.

Recently, another adaptation was made, directed by Tim Burton. This film has the same name as the book, and stars Johnny Depp as Willy Wonka. This box office success got a good reaction from the critics, as well as a nomination for an Academy Award for Best Costume Design at the seventy-eighth Academy Awards. The film was released in the summer of 2005, and has significant plot differences from the earlier adaptation. Neither exactly match the plot of the book.

In this movie Willy Wonka was choosing a new owner for the factory. He did this through selling candy bars with golden tickets inside. One of the people who received the tickets was Charlie, a boy from a poor . Once arriving at the factory the winners are dazzled by wondrous candy creations such as the chocolate river. A girl eventually winds up trying to drink from the river and accidentally falls in to her parents horror. By the end of the movie Charlie who has a deep appreciation for people and kindness is the winner.

Chocolat

Chocolat was first written in 1999, then adapted for film in 2000. This successful film pulled in more than $150,000,000 around the world, and received Golden Globe and Academy Award Nominations for Best Original Score, Best Actress and Best Picture. The film tells the story of a young mother who comes to a fictional French village with her young daughter and opens a small chocolate shop.

The chocolate she produces changes the lives of the people she lives around. There's a great deal of strife between the woman and the village, starting with the fact that she opens her shop during Lent. However, her confections eventually encourage secret love, help a married couple, and help a woman leave her abusive husband.

We all love chocolate, and box office figures show that we also love movies about chocolate. If you're feeling that craving, why not check out a chocolate-based film and enjoy it with a brownie, truffle, or scoop of chocolate ice cream?

Children Photograpy

children photograpy

In the days of my old Nikon F, I had a few lenses each with a different purpose. I had my favorite 105mm telephoto lens, my 43 to 86mm zoom lens which I often doubled with a doubling ring, and a few more. I couldn't rally afford a macro lens, so with a reverse ring by Vivitar, I was able to attach my telephoto lens of 105mm backwords, thus allowing me to take awesome macro pictures of flowers, close- ups of raindrops on leaves etc..The raindrop shots were so close, that the water acted as a magnifying glass on the leaf. Awesome!

Understanding the true function of a lens is relatively simple. It all has to do with focal length and field of view. Whether your be a digital one with a fixed lens, or one that allows you to switch lens, most often you're using a zoom lens. 'Focul length' is better defined as follows;

The 'focul length' simply determines how much of a scene it will capture. A 'normal' focul length will capture a horizontal field of about 45 degrees for example. While a wide angle lens captures a wider field, such as 90 degrees and more. Telephoto lens are great for close-ups because, it captures a much smaller field of view. Actually any background as you focus on your main subject will appear blurry, or out of focus, which makes for a really nice effect.

Most people understand how a zoom lens works. You zoom out to get more of a scene, while you zoom in to get less of a scene. But since the advent of digital cameras, in comparison to our old cameras, the relationship between focal length and field of view has changed somewhat because the dimension of the sensors in the cameras are now different, and much smaller. Confusing? Sure is!

What this means for you is that unless you're a real nut, and really want to know what each of your lens will do , you shouldn't concern yourself with all of this stuff. But let's assume you really need to know for whatever reason.

In the old days of the 35mm with , If you owned a wide angle lens, you could count on the fact that it would deliver an end result (a ) almost exactly how you saw it in your camera viewer. But today, using the same lens on a digital camera will give you a complete different result.

For example, I'm holding in my hand my wife's HP digicam with a 7-21mm zoom lens. But because it's a digital, this small lens will give me a result compared to and up to my 105mm telephoto lens, because of the size of the sensor. Still confused? Don't blame you. Bottom line is that most of you have given up on old 35mm cameras, and only use digital anyway. And as is with any camera, just as it was in the 35mm era, you still need to test in many different situations to get any good at it.

For example, I can take a sunset scene and within 5 minutes get a whole bunch of different effects just by using different aperture openings. You don`t need a photography course to be a good . You just need to read up on what all these numbers mean and do, and as you experiment take notes.

Here's a trick I learned very early in my photograpy years; every time you take a shot, make a note on the lens you used, the apeture opening, the scene, and the shot # you're at. In this way, you can generally repeat the process for your favorite shoot. Anyway, if you plan on entering any photo , as you submit your entry, you usually have to inform them of the type of lens you used, the aperture opening, the ASA/ISO rating etc., hence the importance of notes when it comes to serious photography, digital or not.
