Kids Casting Calls
Isn't it sorta unfair that a lot of casting calls are for adults, not kids?
I mean a ton are for adults, or older teens. I'm 13, it's extremely hard for me to find one!
Anyone else notice this?
Sorry, not trying to ramble but.. yeah...
It's because of child labor laws. Any producer would rather hire a 16 year old who looks young than a 13 year old. A 16 or 18 year old can work a full day, doesn't require a work permit, and doesn't need a tutor on the set. Anyone under 16 is limited to the number of hours they are allowed to work, the times they can work, and the production must hire a tutor if the shoot takes place during normal school hours.
